The Hair Stool is an experiment with unconventional upholstery and Arduino that creates a merge between furniture and special effects makeup.
​The Hair Stool is a milking stool, that has been upholstered with painted latex and human hair. On the underside of the Hair Stool are mounted light and pressure sensors connected to an Arduino which is activated when a viewer blocks the light or sits on the Hairy Stool. In return the Hairy Stool produces a growling and dying sound when a viewer interacts with the stool.
