The Jester is a fabricated costume depicting a court jester.

The overall design takes inspiration from the Renaissance period, and represents individuals that have been considered different by acting as they see fit rather than succumb to societal expectations. Rather than dressing in rags to appease the ruling the monarchy, it is no joke this jester is draping in the fabric of riches. Wearing their riches as an armor in order to taunt those who look down upon them.

In order to create the The Jester over a year of consideration for concept, design, and fabrication. The color pallet was to have a warm vintage glow, no matter what lighting a theoretical filter of yellow seasons all the colored involved. Tests and pre patterning was organized before even touching in order to decided which colors were to appear where, and what they meant in the context of the piece.

Custom pattern draping was conducted by several tests on a wearers body, accounting for the leaking of small tailored adjustments in order to achieve a perfect fit. The total amount of pattern pieces spanning from the headpiece to the trunk hose was totaled to be about 55. To achieve the pattern on the clothing components over a hundred of individual pieces were sewn together, then cut to the pattern, over the course of several months.
