Drunk Pigs In Ribe is a plein air watercolor painting of the oldest house in Ribe, Denmark.​ The night of my arrival in Ribe I was offered a tour by the Nightwatchman; a man who carries a lantern and morning star. He roams the streets of Ribe in case of a fire and other danger.​ Historically the villagers of Ribe threw their waste in the streets, including alcohol and bread. Naturally the pigs of Ribe became drunk off of the human scraps and would wobble around until morning.
